If your glasses have white stains, this is most likely due to a normal reaction to the natural excretions of your skin, such as sweat.
The quality of our frames is important to us and we use premium cellulose acetate from Italy for our acetate frames. Cellulose acetate is a natural material that is mostly (60-80%) made of cellulose. Our matt eyeglass frames get their characteristic velvet matt surface through a special process which is similar to sandblasting. The structure of the surface offers deposit areas for particle such as skin cells and sweat, which is why matt acetate frames are more prone to white stains than glossy frames.
The care of your matt Lunor glasses is crucial to ensure the best vision and longevity possible. We recommend cleaning the frames regularly with clear water and, if necessary, a mild pH-neutral soap. Afterwards, a special Lunor care cream for matt frames, which can be obtained for free from your optician, can be applied. Alternatively, you can also use an unscented hand cream.
Tip: your optician can restore your frames with a professional cleaning or polishing.
